    93 civic alternator belt
    Hi,

I was recently looking under the hood of my daughter's car and I noticed the alternator belt was very worn in one area. I didn't notice this when I changed the alternator a while ago.
I was just curious how hard it was to change the alternator belt. I noticed there were two other belts in the way. Please advise.

    Thank you!

Since the alternator's belt is on the inside, you will have to remove the belts going to the power steering and air conditioner first. It's somewhat of a pain, since you need to properly adjust the tension going to three belts. Honda normally replaces all of these belts, when the timing belt is changed at 90,000 miles. I mention this, just in case the timing belt needs to be changed sometime soon.
