    Annulment: hidden record and std
I live in North Carolina and just found out that my spouse has had 3 dui's and domestic violence on her record. We have been together 3 months and she has become hostile enough for me to call the police. We do have 1 child together but it happened before the marriage. Can I get an annulment or do I have to go to divorce?guess I should have ran a criminal record check.

You need a divorce in order to tie up the loose ends of having a child before marriage, and resolving custody and child support matters, none of which comes up in an annulment. You also address in divorce any property settlement and debts.

You will need a divorce, and of course her prior DUI and other past issues will have no real bearing, Since you would have known, dated and had sex with this person prior and also dated to the point of getting married, So you should have known what they were like.

In the divorce you will have to deal with child custody, child visitation and child support, and division of property since you were married
