    Get get incomming calls
Today, my home phone began to have problems with incoming calls. If someone calling the house, you will hear a partial ring, and on the caller id it states incoming call but no other info will display. Eventually the line will disconnect. On the other end the caller will hear a few rings then a busy signal or they will sometimes hear nothing. If you are in the house and pick up the phone, after the initial partial ring, the call will connect and everytthing is fine; no problems with dialing out, either. My phone plugs into a wall outlet I Thank you all for the help

Sounds like its time for a new phone.

A loose/corroded connection. You have to "get lucky" without the proper tools.

First: Plug a known good phone in the test port of the NID. Call the house.

Problem exists: Call phone company - their problem
Problem resolved: problem inside the house.

Look at line cord end that plugs into wall and inside jack to see if pins are corroded.
Caller Id info is sent between the first and second ring. If phone only makes it to 1 ring, no data will be sent, Like above I would try in a different phone in a different jack, Unplug ALL phones, faxes, computer/dsl filters.
