    30 day notice
A friend of mine rents a mobile home. She has always paid her rent on time in full. She has been told by her landlord that she is selling the home and has 30 days to move, or she can buy the mobile and have to move it in the next year. Is she only allowed 30 days notice or 90?

Since this is a rental, apparently on a month to month lease, then the general rule is one rental period's notice.

You can check the sticky at the top of this forum for links to state sites on landlord/tenant laws

Also, it is recommended to check the lease if their was a lease signed. If your friend has a lease with the owner that generally states the notice period. 30-60-90?

What State? It varies a little bit.

The rule of thumb is notice is the same as the rent period - 30 days is "usual."
