What could cause the high pitch low sound in my ear?
Most of the day I have a light high pitch sound in my ear that sounds like a old TV tube leaking even when I am outside and not around electronics

You could lack some vitamins and minerals

    Maybe you have tinnitis?

I hear the same thing. I've also always wondered what that was.

It could just be background noise drawn out during the day. You'd be surprised by what you can hear when nothing is going on. Some lights make a humming sound, sometimes you can hear the air moving from a fan, or maybe when you're outside you just hear crickets or cicadas. Although I don't know if cicadas are out where you live

One reason for ears ringing is that if you could hear everything in your body working
Heart pumping, blood going through your veins, digestive system, breathing, etc...
It would drive you crazy but we have an insulation that protects us from hearing it and sometimes are insulation tolerance or whatever you would call it is low.
Also lack of vitamins and minerals can cause it. Vitamin A and zinc are two that you may be deficient in.
They say that Edgar Alan Poe ended up in the insane asylum because the ringing in his ears got so bad it drove him crazy.

I get that a lot too, and it is because of fluid in my ears. If your ears "pop" a lot, or you get ear aches pretty frequently, or if you have allergies/sinuses really bad, it could be fluid in your ears. Good luck figuring out/fixing it.
