    Windows will not shut down
I get the following message when shutting computer down:

    End Program
    CcSvcHst

I have been told it may have something to do with Norton 360 which I am running on my computer. I am Running Windows XP and it is supposed to be up to date with the service packs.

Your Norton is having a problem shutting down. You're going to have manually say END NOW unless you wipe Norton off and try reinstalling it, or switch to another AV product.

I used to use Norton products exclusively, but they became too bloated for my system performance. I'm all about the performance. So I haven't used a Norton product at all now in 5 years and happy to be free of the system degradation.

I now use AVG Pro (there is a free version for home users) and it has almost no effect on my system performance except early in the morning when it's running a background scan.
