Irritated at the tip of my penis?
Hey I had protected sex last Sunday night. By Monday evening I started to feel irritated at the top of my penis off and on... on Tuesday I was feeling a slight tingling/stinging sensation inside the tip of it. Im worried I wanted to know could I have picked up a std even though I still protected myself??

Could the latex be the cause of the irritation of my urethra?

    HIV - what's my risk?

Also I have a anxiety disorder... do you thank this is contributing to that? Because I'm getting real stressed out thinking I caught something...

And I wanted to know is it possible to catch something if you wear a condom while having sex??

    Somebody help please...

STD's and HIV- it's possible but pretty unlikely. You may be allergic to latex and just now finding out if this was your first time using a condom/having sex/whatever, or you may just be sensitive to it. Try to relax and wait a day or 2. If it doesn't clear up, go to the doctor. Any sores, bleeding, drastic change in color, pus, or other bad signs warrants a trip to the doctor ASAP.

I think the priority in this case is to manage the anxiety first. The previous post is quite right, latex allergies are common and STD's present with more spectacular symptoms than just irritation of the prepuce. I went through a life changing event a few years and was lucky to be prescribed Xanax for my anxiety, which I used for about three months. It really took the edge off and I found I wasn't habituated and certainly not addicted. In the unlikely event that it is an STD, you really must realise that they are quite easily treatable.
