I have heard so many different answers to this foreclosure deal. Unfortunately my boyfriend and I are in the same boat. Our deal is our lease was up in February and we corresponded with the landlord then and he didn't want us to sign another lease because of the situation. So here we sit in the dark. Question remains can I make a deal with the mortgage people? Will we get a notice on the door to vacate in 48hrs or less? What rights do we have and more importantly what can we do?

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

Since you didn't renew a lease you are on a month to month basis. This means you can move out with one months notice. So I would start looking for a new place. Yes its possible that you will find a notice to vacate on your door. But that's not an eviction notice. You can ignore it and try to negotiate for more time. The new owner will have to take you to court to force you out. If you plead that you need more time and show you have been looking you should get more time.

What sort of deal do you want to make? You can try and work out a sale where you take over the mortgage and pay the landlord a small amount, then bring the mortgage up to date. Or buy it outright for a little more than the mortgage balance.
