    Hair too dark
I have been reading this great advice and had some wuestions of my own. I went to the same lady to do my hair previously and it turned out nice, but as the dark faded I felt the highlights she put into it became too much of a comtrast... blonde with brown, just not my look. So I went to her on Saturday (6 weeks later) and told her I wanted an allover color that was a chocolate brown with a little red. I have naturally curly hair, so she straightened it for me when I left the salon. It looked dark, but not awful. The next day I washed it and wore it curly, and it looks black. I have tried shampooing and conditing it MANY times, even with dawn. I will go buy prell and try that tomorrow. I just want it to fade a bit because I think I will like it. Any other suggestions on how to fade it a bit? I will go back to my salon if none of these things work, but I really hope something does. I am afraid that if I go back, and she redoes it, then it will be too light what do I do??

Sbrown, Prell will fade the hair about a shade or so. Also, intense hot oil treatment with heat will fade the hair. If your going to try the Prell, add a few drops of Dawn to it. Then apply a deep conditioning treatment for at least 15-20 minutes afterward. If your hair doesn't fade, you should go back to the salon and have another hairstylist re-do the color if your not happy with it.
