    Dr. And I disagree
My daughter is 16. She has been having episodes for several years now off and on that are worsening. She is seeing a Dr. and also had an emergency room visit Friday as this was the worst one yet. I would like to list her symptoms and just get some feedback if anyone else has had this problem. I am going to get a referral for a neurologist Wednesday. Symtoms:starts with heaviness in chest described as pain, headache in left temple and behind eyes, sweating, tremors and shaking inside and out, fists clenched and drawn to face, eyes closed but look like she's trying to open them with very rapid eye movement, lip movements in and out uncontrollably, runny nose, can't talk or hear, unaware of surroundings, doesn't recall anything accept the initial chest pain and headache, bad headache and much weakness afterwards. The episode before this was not quite as bad but almost. The ones in the past have not even come close. If anyone can comment please. I'm not looking for a diagnosis I just want to know if we're the only ones. It's very scary when you think your child's Dr. is misdiagnosing her. I will tell her Drs. Diagnosis, tests and treatments already after I hear from others. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Wow, this sounds like some type of seizures, there are so many different types. Hopefully the doctor can help you find out what the problem is.
I wonder if some of the symptoms could be panic attacks from feeling the condition coming on.

Good luck from one mother to another, I know what it is like to feel helpless in your child treatments, just hang in there and keep pushing for answers.

I agree with the above. It does sound as though she either has a seizure disorder or panic attacks. They can mirror each other and can be very hard to diagnose at times.

A neurologist would be your best bet at this point in time.
