I removed a painting from a frame and behind it was another painting on thin paper. It is of Jesus with blood on His hands and looking up. It says on it:
1955, S.V.D.C.U.
Can anyone identify hat this is?

Is this a print or an original, please? It would help to know that.

I have no idea whether it is an original or not- knowledge very limited on these things. Can not find a signature- only what I posted. It belongs to my sister who lives in the midwest and does not have digitel or computer to send me pic. She did state it is on very thin paper- if that means anything.

Most likely, it is a print that was made in 1955 and those letters represent the initials of the company that produced the prints. That would be my opinion. Hopefull, others will also come along to add theirs.
