Load light steady PC won't boot
    1. Replaced the power supply. Have power to both fans now.
    2. MOBO light is on steady. Red.
    3. Power button light on front panel is not lit (to indicate power is on.)
    4. Load light is lit. Does not blink off and on to indicate that it is searching/loading.

I hear no beeps. I hear no clicking. I only hear fans running.
No power to any drive. Can't open any door to drives.
Monitor says it is okay and displays a message to: 'check PC and signal cables etc monitor is working.'

From what your describing, the computer is working correctly.

If you could provide us with some more details then we should be able to solve your problem.

IE. Does the Computer boot but the OS doesn't load.

Or Does the computer freeze on a certain boot screen? etc...

    Kind Regards

What happened in the first place? Did your processor die possibly? I'm assuming that you get nowhere near seeing a POST screen which is key to the problem. If you had bad RAM or a bad video card you would at least hear the system bios beeps - do you have a case speaker attached and working?

Thanks for your interest in my problem. The PC died overnight. I have a broadband cable network and leave the PC on standby. I had no warning of impending doom. Simply stated. I hit the button to load and had absolutely no response except from the monitor indicating that I needed to check the PC and/or cables.
I did the usual checks of connections and made attempts to reboot.
Same response. I had a spare power source on hand, which when installed,
Activated both fans. The power lamp on the MB is lit, steady red. I have no power response from DVD or R/W. I am able to activate power on/off using the power button on the front of the PC. I note however that the light ring around the button is not lit.The neon activity light is lit but is a steady glow as if it were working hard. I do not hear or feel the hard drive activate or attempt to load. No noise of any kind with the exception of both fans running as they should. Speakers are attached but I am getting no sound from them.
Just the 2 fans, the activity light and me! Thanks for any suggestions. Larry

Well it sounds to me, that the CPU has FRIED.

I wouldn't be so confident it's the CPU.

My PC will do this occasionally. I'll hit the power button, the PC will come to life and my case fans start up. But that's all that happens. My monitor doesn't kick in. The LED's on my case (power & hard drive activity) just stay on constantly (the HDD will normally flicker). I normally have to power off completely (off at the power supply) and then boot up again. It's a self build PC so I obviously got something wrong :P

My advice is to try removing some of the non-essential items like the graphics card and see what happens. Get the PC down to the bare minimum and see how it acts.

Do you have surge protection on this computer? To test your drives, remove the data cables from the cd drives, and turn on, if they still don't open they could have been fried!

If this is the case I'm sorry to say you could have serious problems. The next thing I would do is try to put your hard drive in another machine to get any data off it you may need.
