    Skin on Skin and SIDS
When my daughter was born on June 3rd the nursers and lactation specialists said the best way to bond with her is to have skin on skin so on my chest ( I am breastfeeding). Well I have been doing skin on skin everyday it calms her down when she has an upset tummy. The only issue I have is we both fall asleep every single time, its so comfortable lying with her, the only thing is doesn't a baby have a higher chance of dying of SIDS if she is lying on her tummy?

Yes they do, but I did the same thing with my son every evening before putting him to bed. Does your baby sleep this way all night? Or just a little nap?

She does, but being against you and your breathing can also help her regulate her breathing. If you want to be more cautious, you can gently put her on her back before you drift off.
