Tone down red in my hair from auburn dye
Hi! I just dyed my hair an auburn color last night, and it is way to vibrant in the red. How can I tone it down, so I don't look like I'm getting ready for Halloween? Thanks so much!

It can be toned down by either washing your hair a couple of times with deep cleansing shampoo or perhaps use a green toner! Green neutralises the red.
But I'd probably just use the shampoo, red fades faster than most colours! :)

The best way to do it is to neutrilize the red with a semi permanent that will not damage your hair. I would go to your local beauty supply store ( we have sally's here ) and ask them to help you find a green based color at the same level your hair is now so you don't lighten or darken. If you caonnot find a green based semi permanent color , use a permanent color with a green base and mix it 10 volume developer and a handful of shampoo mixed in .
