Honda Accord cannot Start after filling gas
My car is 92 Honda Acoord. In hot weather or after filled some gas in gas station, it happends almost all the time. When I gave the first try, the engine started, but it only last for less than one second, then die. After that, engine never starts. I have to wait for few minutes, then it works again. So sad we have this problem. Some of my friends said that that was the main relay. But I think I just fill some gas, it shouldnot have any business with the relay. others said the distributor problem. Is there anyone know a little about it ?
Many Thanks!
Re: Honda Accord cannot Start after filling gas
It may appear to be the gas stop but I just posted this to rodrijacamo about a 91 civic...
A lot of honda products and acura's around 89 through 91 suffered from bad ignigters a jumpstart almost always worked when you couldn't get the car started... which made figuring this problem out more difficult... they had a recall at one time on them...
Replacement of the ignigter should do the trick
Hope this helps

Problems with the igniter and main relay are both heat-related. The main relay almost always becomes problematic in hot summer weather in your Honda. You should check both. I have posted about the main relay check on another post.
