    Credit card summons
I received a summons on a creditcard that was used for my old company and has not been used since 2002.The 1 card was for 15K when I stopped using it and has been sold 4 times to collection departments.I filed for disillusion of the company back in 2006 and have just received a summons for payment of 27K.Should I get a local Att to handle this?

What State? It may be out of Statute.

Whether you are individually responsible depends on the company set up - you can't simply dissolve some companies/corporations and walk away from your debts.

If somebody sued ME for $27,000, yes, I'd hire an Attorney. Fast.

Was this card in the name of your company or did you just sign for it and use it for the company? What form did the company take?

There is a possibility that the SOL has expired, but with $27K at stake, consult an attorney.
