If an adult was adopted as a child and later discovered that their biological parent has died, according to Louisiana Law, how do they inherit from the dead parent's estate?

They don't. When you are adopted, all legal ties with the biological family are severed. You will inherit from your adoptive parents, and have no claim on the biological parents' estate.
