Are you positive that she did not get hold of and lick a marker or something else black?
I've never heard of something like that as related to a cold. I would call your doctor - or at least a local hospital's nurse line - to ask about it right away.
Hi,
I, too, am not aware of any black spot on a baby's tongue being caused by a cold. But, I am not a doctor, nor a Professional in this area.
As your other answer indicated, I would call your Pediatrician or your Doctor, as soon as possible. I do wish you the best, and hope everything is OK.
My Mother has a black spot on her tongue, which she had a couple of weeks ago and it disappeared as mysteriously as it came. What could be the cause or causes of this?
Thank you.
Sometimes an electric shock can cause blackening of the tongue, lips or gums.
I found this:

Apparently, black taste buds on dark skinned people is common and not of consequence. Hairy tongue seems to be a disease.
