    Distance Dating
I have recently went on a blind date and subsequently another date (last evening) with a younger woman who moving to Wales, (I live in Ireland) to pursue further study. We got on very well and I like her she is very easy to talk to, attractive and makes me feel good about myself, I am not sure whether to accept the situation as it is or to try and continue seeing her to discover whether we have a future.

She has a future in Wales. After she moves, you two have a future as pen pals.

"Distance Dating" is one of those misnomers people use (like "safe sex"), there's no such thing really, in my book. Either you're dating - interacting face to face on a weekly basis measuring each other and reading each other's voice, tone, body language, etc... or you're pen-pals - exchanging emails, phone calls/texts, generally an encourager from afar.

So you can get to know her before she leaves. If you make an attachment it will be crippling to you in the "dating-in-real-life" department after she leaves.

If what you WANT is a pen pal, she sounds perfect. If what you WANT is to abstain from all normal real-life female interaction while you pen pal, that is your choice, of course. It just sounds sort of... sad, lacking.

My suggestion - enjoy what time you have together. Period. It is what it is. When she leaves, stay in contact if you wish, but none of those unnecessary "strings attached" that make it hard for both of you to enjoy your separate lives. Be GOOD friends.

I wouldn't avoid any other real dating opportunities in the mean time, should they arise. I would enjoy those, too. If at some point in the future you two are back in the same locale and still interested/available, pursue it further THEN.
