Hi. I feel pretty silly, but I really have nobody else to go to about this.
Last night, I was engaging in heavy petting with my partner. It was our first time together in this sense. It then progressed to intercourse (and he was a bit larger than my last, and only other, partner). I noticed a bit of tenderness afterward but thought it was nothing more than my body having had to adjust.
However, when I went to the bathroom, I experienced an EXTREME burning sensation. It was so horrible I had had to bite my tongue to keep from crying out. When I wiped, there was a bit of bright red blood on the toilet paper.
Then this morning, I woke up and went to relieve myself and there was actually blood in the water, along with that same horrible (maybe even worse) burning sensation and more blood on the toilet paper than last night. I used a mirror and noticed what could be a tear, near the inner labia. It's a bit long, but doesn't seem to be very deep. In fact, it could be just another of the folds, I'm not even sure it's a tear--it definitely looks red though. (Sorry, I'm not really familiar with what I normally look like!)
My partner was a bit rougher during foreplay than I am used to, and thinking back to it, I do recall a sharp sting at one point, but it didn't seem to last.
I am very concerned and not really sure what I should do. I have never had anything like this happen before. The pain is almost unbearable whenever I urinate, but otherwise, I can tolerate it. There is some discomfort though, and I only seem to bleed during urination (I don't notice any blood in my underwear).
Should I see a doctor, or is this normal for vaginal tearing? I don't want to see a doctor for something that is going to heal naturally, but I am concerned. I have to go to work in a few hours, and by the time I'm out, I'll have to go to either the ER or some sort of Urgent Care facility, as my normal Gyno will no longer be in the office.
I've been searching the internet trying to find an answer, but have finally come to this. I hope you guys can help! And sorry for any over-sharing.
