Unfortunately I have a perjury charge in the US Army Criminal Background System. It came up when a correctional officer did a background check. He could not give me details as he said the report said for your eyes only, which is bull because it is MY report. Anyway Accurate is doing a background check for the company that just hired me will it come up even though it happened in the Army? I was told by the US Army Criminal Background System that it stays on your record for 42 years and I have to amend it it can never be expunged- does anyone know what ammending it means? I have requested my report and it will take 90 to 120 days to receive.

Go down to your local police station and run a criminal history on you.

Next a correctional officer has not ability to run a back ground check, their personnel office does if you are applying for a job. But a CO does not get evern near the computer or have access to run such a report.

Normally anything against military regulations that is considered criminal done in the army is on every criminal record check. When you do things in the military it is reported to everyone. I have dealt will military most of my life and I do not know what ammending is. Call the MP's at the closest military base near you and ask them or call JAG, they would also know. Even if it does not come up on all background checks, as long as it is a state check, by police or government it will come up.
