    Low Water Pressure throughout house on a well
    I have a two year old house on a well with very low water pressure and runs out of water rather quick. We are continually cleaning out our aerators at each faucet, and from the irrigation heads outside as well. We have had a filter placed in the well and under the house, which only helped to reduce the water pressure more and still does not remove the sediment from becoming lodged in the aerators.

    Here are a series of questions I am curious about;
    1) Could the pump be submerged to deep into the well and is stirring up the sediment each time it begins to pump?
    2) Some folks have told us to replace the pump with a higher horse pump- my concern would be the new pump would create even more sediment and possibly empty the well much quicker and not increase the pressure?
    3) Should we raise the pump higher?
    4) I'm not certain, but I will look today to see if the supply line to the house is a 1/2" line.
    5) Could this well be too shallow and not have enough reserve?

    Thank you for your time.

    If you have a 1/2 inch supply line, then that's trouble. You probably have more of a volume problem than a pressure problem.

    You really should be able to solve the sediment problem. Any decent sediment filter from Lowe's will do it.

    How deep is your well?
