Heat pump only putting out heat ?
Ok I had a very close lightning strike last Friday ,I have a heat pump and I have not had a/c from that point till now / I noticed the out side fan was not working , replaced the fan as well as the capacitor. Fan works now . Thermostat shows going into cooling mode but no cool air?? To get the fan to come on we had to bypass the defrost board . And still no cool air ! Could the board be keeping me from getting to cool mode?? I did have someone check fridgerent level and pressure both checked good . HELP HELP

There is a reversing valve in the unit. It has a coil on the valve to energize it to the cooling mode. Check the coil if OK then check for the proper voltage goig to the coil. Post back with results. This may also tell you if the board is OK. PS take the jumper off during testing.
