    I need to convert watts to candlepower. Any help in this formula will be a great help

    Turns out it can't be done, at least not with any accuracy. It all depends on how efficient a particular bulb is in turning electrical energy (watts) into light (lumens, or candle power).

    because one candlepower is 0.981 candela the formula to convert watts to candlepower is candlepower is equal to the amount of watts divided by 0.981. For example:
    candlepower = 40watts divided by 0.981, this equals to 40.77472, which is the amount of watts in candlepower.
