    Mercury Villager power window
I have a '94 Villager and the driver's side power window died. It seems like the switch is active - the rpm needle dips slightly when I push one of the buttons. There is absolutely no action from the motor. The passenger side window is fine as well as both of the rear 'wing' windows.

Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

You're probably looking to replace the motor as there is no simple fix for this type of problem that I can think of.

While it could be that the switch itself has a problem, it sounds like the motor itself is worn out. You can try hitting the door while pushing the button to see if that will skip the motor past the dead spot, but if the motor is junk then you'll need to replace it eventually.

It was the motor. I went to my local junk yard and picked the motor and regulator and it works like new...
