    Rebate check, where is it?
Still waiting for a tax rebate check, but cannot find out what's up!
Filed quite early (Feb.) -Online filing with direct deposit... had refund direct deposited within two weeks of filing.
Have not moved or changed anything that would have delayed my rebate/stimulus check so I am quite frustrated at this point.
    My SS# ends with 78, filed married-joint.
Any information would be helpful, however using the IRS website just sent me in a circle of more clicks, no answers!
Can anyone give me some encouraging answers?
    Thanks!

You may call IRS and find out at 866-234-2942

Only reason I can guess is that if you had fees deducted from your tax refund, you will get paper check (in the end of June 2008).

Just got mine, it was running a few weeks latter than expected, They are running behind their posted schedule on their web site on the paper checks.

    Follow-Up! 7-1-08
As a follow up and to supply additional information:
I got a paper check in the mail on Saturday June 28th.
Then, on Monday the 30th, I got a letter explaining that I would receive my stimulus "direct-deposited" directly to my account, as that was the way my tax refund was returned to me! The letter explained to wait for 5-6 weeks for the stimulus money to be deposited, before becoming worried or asking "where is my check"!
Those guys are really on top of this, aren't they??
    So much for the "SYSTEM"...
