I have a 15 lb. female dachshund and she has a rash on her breast bone right between her 2 front legs. She scratches often. Can you tell me what it is and what can I do for it?
She had it last summer also. I put some bag balm on it, but does not seem to help.:confused:

My dog had something like this for 2 summers. I bought a spray called hydrocortosine at walmart for about 3 bucks a bottle. I would sparay it on her a few times a day. Hers were little hard red bumps... no pus though, she would also get them on the back of her hind legs all the way under her tail. I also kept her hair trimmed so that air could get to her.

I used a product for hot spots as well this was a gel that supposedly had a cooling effect, I would alternate the medicines. Btw those 2 summers we had a huge flea problem. Still holding my breath her skin is clear so far.
