Hey! I'm 14. ok so yeah i found out that i am pregnant. Im not as worried as i thought i would be even though i am really scared to tell my parents. My boyfriend is really nervous and really scared to tell his parents also. I think i am going to tell my dad this upcoming thursday. (me and my boyfriend are going to be at his house.) I want to tell my mom but she has never really had anything to do with me. I need to know things to say to my dad to where he won't go ALL crazy and try to kill me. My boyfriend also said that he will be there for me no matter what happens. I also need to know what things i need to do that will help the baby. And things that i don't need to do that will hurt the baby. Any help is GREATLY appriciated!!!:( :confused:

Go to your doctor IMMEDIATELY. You need to get examined and instructed on pre-natal care.

As to telling your dad, this will probably be the hardest thing you can do. I'm not sure if I have any good advice to give you, but to let him know you understand if he's disappointed in you. And that you hope his love for you remains strong.

As to your boyfriend. He needs to contact an attorney. At 14, you are under the age of consent in most places and he may be subject to arrest even if the sex was consensual.

Start taking prenatal vitamins, or a multivitamin... set up a doctor's appointment... would be a good idea to have your boyfriend and a trusted adult go with you. Eat well, avoid being around cigarettes, no alcohol, get some regular, easy exercise.

Have some idea of how you and your boyfriend are going to support this baby, finish school, and take care of yourself in place before speaking to your father. Acknowledge that he will likely freak, expect it, accept it, and let him know you are willing to rebuild his trust by how you take care of yourself and this baby. Show him that you have given this some serious thought, and don't expect him to take care of it for you.

Hopefully your boyfriend will stay in the picture, but it often happens that the relationship does not last... so as time goes on, form a back up plan just in case. The baby will now become your first priority, even before yourself. Find out what educational services are available... some school districts will help with childcare and such so you can be sure to finish. Find out what sort of medical help is available... many areas of programs at little or no cost for classes on childbirth, parenting, etc.. your doctor should have this information.

I had a baby at a very young age and when I told my dad I just said dad I got to tell you something I know your going to be mad but please don't yell because I need you to be their for me but anyway I am pregnant I sorry to get you upset but I really need here for me right now
