    Animal protein and dissociation.
I'm a vegetarian again after being on and off for the past five years and have had years of anxiety issues, looking back the worst of times have been when I was avoiding animal protein. So this time around, I've been veg for about five months and sometimes, I feel dissociated from my body and have major anxiety, so about every two weeks, I eat a steak and feel better the next day... does any one know if there is something (e.i. vitamin) in animal protein that we cannot get from alternative protein? (beans, cheese, hemp hearts etc...)

    Choux
Yeah, I know what you mean, I tried to be a vegetarian, but I only made it for two months. [I'm from the old generation when we ate meat for breakfast, lunch and dinner :( ]

If you can't substitute fresh fish for all meat, and try that, I don't know of anything that gives a person the super good protein like meat. I know one isn't a vegan, but... Maybe, once a week a good hearty steak to cover the hemoglobin needs?
