    Bryant 90+ control board relocation
Hello, I am replacing the control board in my 10 yr old Bryant 350MAV furnace. I was given a kit to relocate the control board "into the blower area" I can't believe I'm suppose to install next to the main blower. Let's face it, even with a regular new filter, it's dirty in there and there is no cover for the circuit board. I'm I wrong about the instructions? Should I just put it back where the original was (on the left side wall next to the vent fan)?
    Thanks, Kevin C

They are looking to cool the components on the circuit board and preventing overheating which is sudden death for the control board. Carrier/bryant spend millions of $$$$$ in there engineering department every year. Put it where they say to put it or risk failure of the board. They know much more about what they are talking about in the instructions that you do.

If the inside of the blower cavity is dirty pull the blower assembly and clean the interior of the unit and the blower motor and wheel assembly. This is standard service and should be done every few years.
