    Sued over credit card debt
I recently received a summons saying that I am being sued by citibank for $1900. I need to file an answer but I don't know how. The summons did not come with any forms.

I live in Ohio and I am a college student. I can't afford daycare so I take care of my son during the day and go to school at night. Though I am always looking, so far I have been unable to find a job that fits into my schedule and I have fallen way behind on my bills. I can't come up with the full amount to pay them and don't want to commit to a payment if I can't make it.

I am married but the account was only in my name and my husband's money is what pays the other bills. My husband owns both cars and the mobile home we live in. The only thing we have together is a joint checking account but the only money that goes into it is his paycheck. I was wondering if they could freeze that account even though I'm not putting any money into it. What kind of judgment might they take against me? I was told by a friend that since Ohio isn't a community property state that they couldn't touch the house or cars because they are in my husband's name. I'm just really stressed about this and could really use some advice on what to do.

Did the summons give you options as to how to answer it? Did it give you a time frame in which to give that answer? Read it again and maybe you will discover the options you have in answering it the proper way...

After that, it's just waiting time until the court date... and then the Judge will decide what to do about it... Don't stress over it. Have everything you need in writing... Tell them your situation and hope for the best... you will figure out a way to deal with what happens in court... trust me.
