CS Modification,Abandonment,Small Claim in WA State
My son is 11 1/2. Bio father has seen him 5 days and 45 min in over 3 years, with last time being over a year.

He owes $800 in travel/medical expenses.

He owes $900 in back support(wage garnishment)

    Child support/order hasn't been modified since 1999.

I married in 2000, husband is dad in every sense of life.

I'm a stay at home mom.

    Here is my questions.

I was looking to modify order. I was told that they would look at me being a stay at home and place a minimum income guideline.. but I don't know what that is?

Do I have to file a small claim to recover expenses unpaid?

My spouses income not a part of the support tables, just the worksheet and taxes right?

    Can I file for abandonment?

Should I hire a lawyer or continue with Support Enforcement?

    Thank you for your time!

If your not working then yes his income will be considered as income towards the child. What were you doing before you quit working outside the home ?
