    Foreclosure renter timeline
The house that I'm renting sold on 6/3/08 in a public auction in California. Today 06/09/08 I received a letter from a real estate agent trying to establish occupancy. What kind of a timeline do I have for moving or bieng evicted by the bank? And what kind of a notice do I need to receive from the financial institution?

I would inquire as to if the bank would be willing to continue to rent you the property, unless you don't want to be there?

They should send you a notice to quit, giving you usually about 3 days, varies by jurisdiction, to vacate the property. If you fail to do so, then they would file a formal eviction in your county court.
