Responding to job opening on Craig's list
I used a link for job opportunies from a website that I basically trust. The job adverstisement was from the Craig's List. I am not too farmiliar with the website, except I know it is a popular website.

The ad just ask me to put in the subject line to send info.

I am wondering about the security and reliability of such ads and the website.

    Any info will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

What is the job offer? If it is make $300,000 a year and work from home or if they ask you for any money it is probably a scam (too good to be true is usually not true). Guess you won't know unless you reply to it but I would be skeptical until you talk and possibly meet with a real person about it. Give us some more info about the ad and we will give you our opinion about it. Hope it is legit and you end up with a new job!

There are A lot of real positions posted on Craigs List, I am a recruiter and we post on their a lot. I think the best thing to do just to be safe (because you never know) is to email them your resume with no contact information.

    Good luck!

    "With no contact information"??

It will be pretty hard to get the job, if they have no way to contact you.

I say "limited" contact information, nothing more than your email address, to set up further communications or an interview.

Well if they send you their resume then they will receive your email address so that one is obvious.

I have both gotten jobs and hired people through Craig's List. They do make an effort to eliminate postings that are not legit, but their volume is huge and world wide so I'm sure things fall through the cracks.

When you respond, it is sent to the poster through Craig's List. Your response provides them with your email address.

Like anything, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
