    Painful urination after sex?
I'm 19 and have recently been experiencing pain when urinating after sex. When I urinate it is painful and hard to get the last bit out, it burns and is occasionally a little bit bloody. This only lasts a day or two after the sex. I just am not sure why this is happening. Is there anything I could do to prevent this or fix it? Or does anyone know why I'm dealing with this?

    Thank you!

I would suspect there may be a bacterial infection, though trauma cannot be ruled out. You should definitely see your gyno, and be careful if you are going to have sex again anytime soon, you may be tearing skin.

I had this before. It was hormonal and was given a cream. You should go to you obgyn and find out for sure

Hi, I'm 19 and having the same problem as tanya31, however my parents don't know I'm sexual active and I'd like to keep it that way i.e I'm hoping this is something I can handle on my own if possible. I'd like to know codelle1, what you did in your situation cause I think my case more relates to your situation, this is the first time it's happen to me

    Bonita--
It happens to me sometimes too, usually if the sex is too rough. It seems like you're having rough sex or you're not wet enough which can cause tears but just to be safe you should go to a doctor.

Do you have insurance because if so go to your gyn. Anytime you become sexual active you need to yourself check out at 2 times out of the year.

If you don't have insurance you can go to clinic such as plannedparenthood for a pap smear for free. Or if you've severe pain go to your nearest hospital.

Hi I'm back again I went to the doctor and he said I have a minor bladder infection n put me on a medication called Deprim, now usually being the cautious person my mother is she likes to read up on medications before taking them and apparently the medication he gave is used to improve mood, normalize sleep and increase mental and physical activity.

Does anyone know anything else about this medication other than what I've found?
