    Forclosed landlord
I am the tenant. Friday night I received a John Doe letter of foreclosure. I just rented this house on May 1, 2008. I paid first, last, & security. A grand total of 4800.00. Then on the first of June he came and collected Junes rent. According to the letter the house was foreclosed on May 2, 2008. The house was sold on May 28, 2008. What can I do? I am disabled and recently had surgery, May 21. I am in a wheelchair for the next two months.
What can I do? Who do I see?

    Hello:

Of course, he doesn't have your money... He may have committed fraud. I'd call the cops. Otherwise, there's nothing you can do except move and sue him.

Ok, are you sure the letter said it actually sold. If it did sell in May and the landlord collected June rent that is fraud, You need to contact the landlord and ask for your deposit back, Now sadly most likely the money is gone and you will have to sue him in court and only hope you will ever see your money
