Can anybody tell me if you turn the big nut clockwise or counter clockwise to remove the fan and clutch assembly from the water pump pulley shaft. Also any hits or tips on how to break this nut loose would be helpful.It is on there really tight and was wondering if it is a left hand thread. Have tried it in both directions but cannot seem to get it to break loose.

The normal thread is left hand but I have seen right, as far as breaking it loose spray it with penatrateing fluid and you will need if you don't have one a fan clutch tool . The tool has two pieces one to turn the fan and one to hold the clutch
