    My lab is sick
This guy has been antagonizing my lab. We caught him for the 4th time the other day and my husband chased the guy up the road, but he couldn't find what house he went into. The very next day my dog is acting totally sick. He won't eat or drink and has slimy drool coming out of his mouth(which never happens). My husband is wondering if it is dog poisoning. We finally got a hold of a vet that he is meeting up with now. Does anyone have a clue what could be going on?:(

Kind of hard to say. The vet is actually the best bet right now. How was this chap antanozing your dog ?

Riding his bike around in my yard, throwing rocks, going right up to him where my dogs leash won't reach anymore and just standing there messing with him. We don't have a fence so when he is outside he is on a chain. I don't know why the guy feels the need to aggrivate my dog. I find it strange the very next day after my husband chased the guy my dog ends up barely hanging on to life.

I have to agree with tickle, the vet is your best option.

I'm also curious to know what this guy has been doing, if it turns out to be poison you will have to notify the police, obviously this guy has something against your dog, and must be stopped before he does serious irreversible damage.

Good luck, and keep us posted.

If your dog is stretching a lot and refusing to drink water, he could've swallowed a blunt object. Take him to the vet and have an x-ray of both his mouth and stomach.

Even if the dog turns out not to be seriously sick (and I hope he isn't), call the police and file a complaint anyway. The man is trespassing if nothing else. Then if something happens or the guy gets bitten you have evidence that you tried to do something about it already.

Guard your dog against poisoning by keeping it inside the house and being with it when it goes outside. Also police your yard and pick up any strange objects and properly dispose of them. My Sheba was poisoned by a neighbor and she died a very slow death. There was nothing I could do as I didn't see the neighbor actually poison her and the police basically told me to go fly a kite. Wasn't that nice of them? Don't bother filing a police report as they probably won't do anything about it even if your dog is poisoned and dies.
