I have Kenmore clothe dryer series 80 part number 110.72872101. It does not heat up anymore, I changed all 4 thermostats and fuse in the back even though I was almost sure they were good. I put a new felt band around the drum and made sure that there was no obstruction in the ventillation ( the air coming out is forceful ).
I see the flame come on and last only 15 second. And it does every 5min or so. What coul be wrong? What do I have to check? Can you help? Any suggestions?

A faulty gas burner;; #2- it also could be caused by improper air gas mixture in the gas burner; #3 - check the heat protector on the heat duct ;; #4THE proper type of flame you should have from the gas burner is one that has a light blue flame ,but does not have a roar to the flame;; Ayellow tiped flame ,indicates that there is too much air in the mixture; ; #5 the way you adjust the air gas mixture is with the( AIR SHUTTER)IT IS IN FRONT OF THE BURNER< TO ADJUST _ REMOVE THE LOWER ACCESS PANNEL ON BOTTOM OF DRYER< HAVE BURNER BURNING AND LOOSEN THE THUMB SCREW AND SLIDE IT VERY SLOWLY AT A TIME AND WATCH THE FLAME TO BE AS I WROTE ABOVE FOR PROPER GAS AIR MIXTURE:: IF THE UNIT IS IN GOOD SHAPE AND THIS IS THE ONLY PROBLEM : THEN CALL A GAS APPLIANCE REPAIRMAN TO COME AND REPAIR IT :: ALSO AT THE TOP OF THE FIRST PAGE ON APPLIANCES <READ THE STICKY ON GAS APPLIANCES < IT WILL BE WORTH WHILE :GOOD LUCK AND IF I HAVE HELPED <PLEASE RATE MY ANSWER BY PRESSING THE ORANGE BOX AT THE BOTTOM :THANKS HAVE A GREAT DAY AND GOD BKLESS ::F.B.E.
