I've just moved into and apartment 3 days ago and it has many huge cockroaches. Ive seen them everyday and I don't want to live here anymore including my frightened kids. Can we break the lease with no penalty. We have a one year lease.

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.
Have you reported this to the landlord? Has he sent exterminators? Have you reported it to the health dept?
You might have grounds for breaking the lease due to unsanitary conditions, but you will need to make sure you can prove your claim.
You can not just move, did you not see the bugs during your inspection of the apartment ? But you should contact the landlord about spraying, for bugs,
Call your local health dept. and tell them you have kids and it is to unhealthy for my kids and me to live there for a year with roaches!Quote:
