    Toilet flange height
How do you install a toilet flange (new construction) on a tile floor.

Flange should sit on the floor covering (tile). Place a piece of the tile you are going to use on either side of the hole in the subfloor and set the flange down on the tile. Then, when tiling the floor slide tile under the flange.

You can do as Harold suggested... this works great

Or, it being new construction, just have the tile guys tile arouind the pipe leaving a 5 inch hole around the pipe. Then you can go in after tile is grouted and set the toilet flange so the flange sits ON the tile.

Then align the flange so the toilet bolts will line up at center of pipe and then use a 1/4" masonry bit to drill through the tile and then screw screws through the flange to secure to the floor (do not overscrew and crack a flange).

Then use 5/16" johhni bolt and a wax gasket with HORN to set the toilet bowl and should be all set.

    Good luck... MARK
