I am trying to fill out the tax form 540NR short and I don't know what to put on line 20 - is it obvious and I am just being silly - but what is it asking? How much taxes I paid on the income from line 19? Where would I get this number? Sorry - I am so not good with this tax stuff - any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh come on! Just answer the question! That line is totally confusing. Tax could mean anything. Is the purpose of this site just to refer people to companies that make you pay to answer a question? Hasn't anybody who lives in CA figured this out?
