80's Sci-fi movie with a boy who has something protruding from his head
I saw this movie in February 1988, I think it was on a movie channel, which I guess would have been HBO. My memory is very sketchy, but I think it involved high school kids. One of the characters might end up in the hospital, and something that happened to him, causes a phallic type thing to stick out of his head. I think it also might have done that when he was at the school. There is a house, that has something resembling a boxing ring. You can flip a switch, and when you are inside that ring, you can see another dimension, and all sorts of scary looking creatures are there swiling around biting at you - like giant worms with huge sharp teeth. At the end, the girl goes there by herself, and gets in over her head, and almost gets sexually assaulted by "the big monster". I'm sure the boy comes in and saves her in the nick of time, though can't remember.
The closest thing I've found to it has been My science project - but I bought that, and it wasn't it. Anyone?? :confused: Thanks in advance!
