    Cracked Bathroom Mirror
I have a large bathroom mirror----6 foot long and 3 ft 2 inch high.
There are four screws in each corner to help hold the mirror. Each screw is surrounded with by a small scalloped circle.
The previous tenants evidently screwed the lower left screw to tightly and there is a crack 21 inches long that is an arc shape.
I want to hide the crack somehow but everything I think of reflects the back side in the mirror. I admit I am not very crafty! Any ideas.
    Thanks

I think you'll have to replace it. Mirrors are not that expensive - particularly if you install it yourself. Go to your local glass shop and see how much they would charge to cut you a new mirror.

They can also recut your existing mirror (if you can get it off without breaking it further) so you can have a 4'x36" mirror for somewhere else. Actually, 4'x2' is a good size to mount on the back of a bedroom door as a dressing mirror.

Sam, you said previous tenant so I assume you too are renting. Your landlord apparently already decided not to replace this mirror but you could point out it is now a liability for him and any injury to you or your family would not be covered by his insurance. He has a known defect and chooses to not repair so the insurance folks would call this negligence and not give him coverage. If this does get you a new mirror you could experiment with something along the lines of a wallpaper boarder on the mirror surface.
