We have a Whirlpool electric dryer - Model #LER3624JQ1

Yesterday, during the drying of a load it just stopped before the clothes were dry and now it will not turn back on.

The dryer is about 6 years old and we are a family of 5 with a lot of laundry.

We checked the circuit breaker and nothing seems to have been tripped. There is no light in the drum of the dryer so we really can't tell if it is getting electricity or not.

Any suggestions as to what to do before calling a repair person?

Most probably the thermostat has given up...
Unless you are capable of doing electric repairs, and have the tools to do so, better call the repair person !
