    Va state return
I am wondering why on my W-2 form the VA I.D. tax number of my company have more digits than my other W-2 form?
Do I have to skip the letter in the I.d tax number and put in the software only the digits?
I want to e-file but I can not do than because I have to skip the LETTER in the id.tax number of my company
    Are you famyliar with this?

    Help?

    Troj:

Are you talking about the Virginia ID number or the federal EIN?

The EIN is all numeric, with the following format: ##-#######.

State ID numbers have a variety of forms and formats, letters and numbers. I have efiled using TaxCut abd TaxAct, and neither case did the state ID number prevent the efile from going through.

If the state ID is stopping your electronic filing attempt, I cannot tell you why.
