    2 minute noodles
I was just wondering if 2 minute noodles are fattening.
I have read the packet for nutrition information, but it is really confusing.

So I was just wondering if they are actually fattening.

    Thanks :)

Most carbohydrates, like noodles are fattening if you eat too much. A friend of mine rinses her 2 minute noodles with water after cooking to remove most of the fat. They are covered with fat, and fat has 9 calories per gram. That can make you fat.

Instant noodles are what I call Junk Food, they are high in carbs, low in fiber, vitamins and minerals, During the manufacturing process they are generally fried (oxidized fats/oils), so this causes high levels of saturated fats/transfats. The instant broth that are included in some brands contain high amounts of sodum, (the recommended amount of sodium a day is 1,-1,400 mg.), yet most of these instant noodles with broth contain amounts up to 3,00 mg. Rinsing isn't going to change much of the fat content and to answer your question, they can be fattening.
