Our above ground pool vacuums are not working properly. They are not vacuuming hardly at all. The manual one just floats out of the skimmer after a few minutes and the automatic one hardly moves at all. We have replaced all the hoses so they are all new and are not leaking the pump seems to be working properly at 27 lbs while it is filtering. Does anyone have any ideas why this could be happening and how we might be able to fix it. Thanks. :confused:

Is there any air bubbles in the vac line? Sounds like you have a vac leak somewhere along the hose or right where it attaches to the skimmer.

Hi, you asked if we had any air bubbles in the vac line - no we don't see any. We did get the manual vacuum working using backwash at first and then returned to filter but we still have to back wash it much more often for it to maintain suction. Both vacuums are working somewhat just not as well as in the past. Auto vacuum moves very slowly - have checked for clogs and it is clear.
