So, usually i get my period around the same time every month. It used to last 1-3 days, and the past year it's been lasting 3-5 days. At this moment i'm experiencing the brown discharge (ending of period) but it's last for almost 1 1/2 weeks. It started on the 3rd day of my period and now it's the 12th day. I'm begining to worry myself because about 2 months ago I noticed a small lump located around where my ovaries are and in between periods i've been experiencing some realllllly painful cramps lower than where they normally are. AND i've also noticed that sometimes it hurts to have sex, or even to insert or take out a tampon inbetween and even on my period. Does anyone have any similar problems or at least have some advice and/or an opinion to what's wrong with me?

How old are you?

It could be ovarian cysts, but it sounds more like uterine fibroids. You can find more info about it here:

It's relatively common and only sometimes presents itself with complications. You can get a confirmation by going to do the OB and getting an ultrasound.

Well, at least it's not cancerous right

There's a chance it is, but in most cases, it is not. I suggest you have it checked.

If it is an ovarian cyst, it could be you are lactose and tolerant and your intake has exceeded it limit. This has happened to my sister.
