    Water Draining from Water Heater
I have a small black drain from my waterheater cold water pipe running to a floor drain --never had water coming out of it until recently , started the last six months as a drizzle , now it is a constant stream. I would assume this needs to be addressed as it is probably wasting a lot of water down our drain.

I guess! You have a double whammy. First you pay for the water and then you pay again to heat it. Do you have, a sprinkler system? A check valve ot backflow preventer out near the water meter? Have you jiggled the handle to see if there's a bit of crud cought in the seat? Do you have a expansion tank installed on the heaters cold water supply? Back to you, Tom

Hey Speedball! Math error. Triple whammy. Have to pay to dispose of it too (sewer charges).
